Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said that English has nothing to do with intelligence, so it has been decided that medical and engineering studies in Madhya Pradesh will be done in Hindi.
The Chief Minister of MP while addressing a public meeting here said,
“English has nothing to do with intelligence. That’s why I decided that medical and engineering studies in the state will be conducted in Hindi so that children of poor farmers and laborers who do not know English can also become doctors and engineers. Earlier in October last year Madhya Pradesh became the first state in the country to start MBBS course in Hindi language.Initially, three subjects were selected to be studied in Hindi which include Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry.
In a first of its kind move, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched MBBS Hindi syllabus book at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also present on the occasion.
For the last 232 days, a team of 97 experts was working to prepare books at the Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal. He has been translating the book from English to Hindi.
Reacting to the development, Medical Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh Vishwas Sarang said that the move will bring a sea change in the advancement of education in Hindi medium.
Earlier on Sunday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Chouhan took a jibe at Congress leader Kamal Nath, saying that he should run an “apology campaign” for stalling development works during his chief ministership.
Addressing a public meeting here, Chouhan said, “Kamal Nath ji did nothing in his 1.25 year government. Now they tweet that I will do this, I will do that! Hey, why didn’t you do anything in 15 months?”
Enumerating the reasons for apologizing, the Chief Minister said, Kamal Nath ji should run an apology campaign. Kamal Nath took away children’s laptop, smartphone and scholarship, now apologizes, did not give 51 thousand rupees for daughters’ marriage, now apologizes! Stopped the Sambal scheme, stopped the pilgrimage scheme, Kamal Nath should apologize now!
Whatever development has happened in Dhar so far, that much development has been done by the BJP government. Last time our government was not formed in Dhar Municipality. Congress stopped the development works of Dhar.
Chouhan said that the investment being made in the state will provide employment opportunities to the youth.
The Chief Minister assured the people to open a medical college.
The Chief Minister also promised to give land pattas to poor families through Bhumi-Awasi Adhikar Yojana in Madhya Pradesh.
It is our resolve that no poor of Madhya Pradesh will be allowed to live without a pucca house. We have made arrangements to teach medical and engineering studies through Hindi medium in Madhya Pradesh. Now the child of the poor will also move forward.
He said, ‘You are requested that all the works of development can be brought to the ground, for this BJP’s city government should be formed.
