BSc Nursing Eligibility

For Bsc Nursing Post Basic, the basic criteria are same as BSc Nursing eligibility criteria. Also, for BSc Nursing Post Basic, candidates need to obtain a General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) certificate and register themselves as Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RNRM) from the State Nurses Registration Council.

Candidates who are willing to take admission in BSc Nursing, take note of the following criteria as informed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).

  • Minimum Age: The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years as on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • Minimum Marks: A candidate must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks together in PCB in the qualifying examination (Class 12).
  • SC/ST or Other Backward Classes (OBC): For the respective candidates, the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Physics, CHemsitry, Biology) should be 40% instead of 45% as mentioned above.
  • For PWD candidates: 3% disability reservation will be considered with locomotor disability ranging from 40% to 50% of lower extremity.

B.Sc Nursing Admission Process

BSC Nursing admission process in India is conducted through both entrance exam score and merit, however top medical colleges in India mostly consider entrance exams. B.Sc Nursing Application Form is generally released between April to June and also expected for admission 2021.
